Engine Specifications and Transmission
The 2025 Ford Ranger® XL uses a 2.3L EcoBoost® engine, and the XLT and Lariat® trims use a 2.7L EcoBoost® engine with Auto Start-Stop Technology paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The 2025 Ford Ranger® Raptor® includes a 3.0L EcoBoost® engine, exclusively available on that trim.
All models use the 10-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive (4x2) is standard on the XL, XLT, and Lariat®, with 4x4 available. The 2025 Ford Ranger® Raptor® comes standard with 4x4. Electronic Shift-On-the-Fly is included with all 4x4 configurations.
