Trim Levels and Drivetrain Configurations
The 2025 Ford Escape® lineup includes both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options. Front-wheel drive is standard on the 2025 Ford Escape® Active™, 2025 Ford Escape® ST-Line, and 2025 Ford Escape® Plug-in Hybrid. All-wheel drive is optional on the 2025 Ford Escape® ST-Line and standard on the 2025 Ford Escape® ST-Line Select, 2025 Ford Escape® ST-Line Elite, and 2025 Ford Escape® Platinum®. The 2025 Ford Escape® Plug-in Hybrid is exclusively front-wheel drive.
The 2025 Ford Escape® Active™ and 2025 Ford Escape® ST-Line use a 1.5L EcoBoost® engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 2025 Ford Escape® ST-Line Select, 2025 Ford Escape® ST-Line Elite, and 2025 Ford Escape® Platinum® feature a 2.0L EcoBoost® engine. The 2025 Ford Escape® Plug-in Hybrid trim utilizes a 2.5L IVCT Atkinson-Cycle I-4 engine with an electric continuously variable transmission (eCVT).
Each trim includes electric power-assisted steering, four-wheel disc brakes with an anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic traction control, and curve control. Engine block heaters are available. An AWD disconnect system is included where applicable. Neutral towing capability and a pedestrian alert sounder are exclusive to the 2025 Ford Escape® Plug-in Hybrid model.

Seat heating is available on all trims and standard on the 2025 Ford Escape® ST-Line Select and above. Driver’s seat memory and 10-way power adjustments are available or standard depending on trim. All configurations offer a second-row 60/40 split-fold-down seat, carpeted floor mats, sliding sun visors, coat hooks, a center floor console with armrest, and eight cup holders.
